Veterinary Specialty Consultants - Radiology

Jean K. Reichle, DVM, DACVR, MS

Board-certified veterinary radiologist Dr. Jean Reichle is a long-time member of the PetRays team of specialists and also helps care for pets at a specialty clinic in Los Angeles.

A native of New Jersey, Dr. Reichle attended the Ohio State University and majored in Animal Studies. She was accepted into the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine before completing her undergraduate degree. She was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Reichle went on to complete an internship at the Veterinary Centers of America West Los Angeles Hospital from 1993 to 1994. She next completed a radiology residency at Colorado State University. Dr. Reichel also holds a Master's Degree in Radiological Health Sciences from Colorado State University.

She returned to Ohio State University as a faculty member in 1997. In 1998, Dr. Reichle was named a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.

Dr. Reichle has numerous professional interests, including canine elbow dysplasia and diseases of the gall bladder. She has been published in a number of professional journals, including Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound, the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Clinical Techniques In Small Animal Practice and Theriogenology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association and the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Reichle is also a member of the Los Angeles Zoo Advisory Board and the Ohio State University Alumni Group of Los Angeles.

In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, hiking, swimming, yoga and pilates. She shares her home with three cats, Dottie, Oliver and Julia, and two dogs, Cocoa and Oscar, all of whom were rescued.
